Seismic Strengthening of Masonry, Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures

The seismic performance and resistance of existing structures of masonry, reinforced concrete and steel will be enhanced using advanced & durable strengthening & retrofitting measures.

Global Strengthening of Structures using Braces, Dampers and Isolators

The global seismic performance and resilience of buildings & other structures will be improved through bracings, dampers and isolators, with the aim of reducing the structural deformations, displacements and accelerations during an earthquake, which ensures minimal damage and safety of the occupants.

Conditional Assessment of Structures.

Structures that are in need of repair and retrofitting will be pre-analyzed using NonDestructive Testing (NDT), Partial Destructive Testing (PDT) and Destructive Testing (DT) (Core Cutting) to evaluate their current condition and determine the safety, integrity, and remaining service life.

Structural Health Monitoring

The structural health, i.e. its performance under adverse conditions of loading and weather will be monitored using site-specific/ IoT sensors. The recorded data will be used to detect, evaluate, and predict the onset of structural damage or degradation in various infrastructures such as buildings, bridges, etc

Rebar Couplers/ Coupling Sleeves/ Mechanical or Lap Splices

Couplers/ mechanical lap splices for interconnecting rebars of conventional RC/ Precast structural systems will be manufactured/ fabricated and supplied. Coupler sleeves for retrofitting damaged structural members will be manufactured/ fabricated and supplied.

Water Proofing Treatment

Services of surface, integral, cementitious, and injection waterproofing that includes Atactic Polypropylene (APP) membrane, textile-reinforced mortar, latex-based mortar system, and crystalline admixtures, super plasticizer, etc. will be provided.

Corrosion Treatment and Protection

Services related to the prevention of corrosion in structures like surface coatings that include paint, epoxy, polyurethane, or metallic coatings, cathodic protection (CP) electrochemical technique, and corrosion inhibitors/ chemical compounds.

Fiber Composites and FRP Strengthening

Strengthening of structural members will be accomplished to increase their confinement, flexure and shear capacities with the adoption of advanced fiber composites and fiber reinforced polymers (FRP). High-strength quality fiber materials will also be imported and provided.

Textile Reinforced Concrete/ Mortar

Retrofitting and strengthening of reinforced concrete and masonry structures using advanced non-corrosive materials as reinforcement in concrete or mortar matrices, as textile-reinforced concrete/ mortar will be executed. These innovative materials utilize textiles, such as carbon, glass, aramid fibers, PBO, etc.

Sensors, Instrumentation & Equipment for Testing and Monitoring Purposes

Sensors for measuring loads, displacements, strains, accelerations, rotations, pressure, humidity, temperature, dampness, etc. will be provided. Instruments like extensometer, dial gauges, proving rings and other civil engineering (structural, materials, geotechnical, hydraulics, thermal, transportation, environmental, fatigue, creep etc..) related instruments will be supplied. IoT sensors will be supplied and assembled for remote monitoring as per the requirements

Brick or Block Masonry System

Seismic-resistant interlinked, interlock block masonry system, and confined masonry system that can withstand earthquakes of higher lateral displacements will be constructed. The slotted concrete blocks are to be interlinked through visco-elastic link units, fabricated from the ply part of worn-out radial rubber tires.

Temporary or Makeshift Shelters

Temporary or makeshift shelters of different types to provide short-term housing or protection in emergency situations, disaster relief efforts, temporary events, etc. will be designed, fabricated and supplied with fire resistance, flood resistance & better thermal comfort.

Precast or Prefabricated Structural System/ Connections

Precast or prefabricated structural system (wet and hybrid) with seismic resistant measures using rebar couplers, anchors, bolting, pre/ post-tension and high performance materials for connections will be designed and executed.

Energy Efficient Materials

Thermal comfort materials, methods using organic & inorganic materials will be used in construction practices. The use of products from waste & energy efficient materials as an alternative to conventional materials to offer sustainable building solutions.
